Neue HAMLAB in den USA und TUNE (RF Power) Problem

Grüße aus New Hampshire, USA.

In jedem anderen Modus (LSB, USB, AM, FM).

Nein dazwischen.

Vielen Dank,

-Rick / N1GP

Hi Rick.

Tune button works in CW, but you must set the Monitor button on.

It also Enables the Sidetone , SDR works only when there is Audio... ;)

Under Setup / Transmit you can set the Tune power value and also
the meter settings for Fwd/Rev/ or SWR.

In my RedPitaya Setup i can use the Drive slider, but i am not shure
i you can do so...

In SSB mode the Output is set with the PC Souncard LineOut slider...

I use a modified version of openHP SDR and i can set the Power with
the Drive Slider...

Hi Egbert,

Tnx for your reply and information.

I did try and have all those things you mentioned but still I cannot
adjust the driver power.

I sent redpitaya support an email and they replied that it is a known bug.

I am going to send them another email because I notice they have the
source code checked in to github (look at the bottom of the page):
http://hamlabdoc.readthedocs.io/en/late ... ght=github

But that repository contains no changes from RP only a fork from openHPSDR version.

I wonder where you got your version of Powersdr, Did you modify it yourself?

Hi Rick.

I use only the RedPitaya, and i made my own Setup, see my QRZ page....

But i dont know all the hardware in the Hamlab, i heard that they use a Spinoff from the ALEX Board, and they ommit the bandPass filters.
There is a AudioBoard, but we dont know exactly what type of Board, and the Documentation i read is very limited....

But it is very importand that you save every change you make, save it in the Transmit profile you use, otherwise it it will be forgotten in the software.

If you can figure out what Hardware you have, perhaps you can use the Software on this Forum...

I use the version openHPSDR version 3.3.9 with am Mod from this Forum, and there also a Topic about a AudioBoard....

But there is a catch, we use the Image from PavelDemin, and i think you have different version in your HamLab...

But PA3ANG has also a HamLab, he has a lot of troubles, from a suddenly dead RedPitaya to the same problems as you have...

You can contact him via his HomePage https://pa3ang.nl/archives/category/red-pitaya

Hello Egbert,

I really enjoyed your projects as viewed on your QRZ web page.

That is a very nice all-in-one SDR transceiver based on the RP.
I wish the FET-50PA kit was available to USA, the 28v boosters
are readily available on Ebay. It makes for a nice 50W PA?

The RP support has been very helpful and I hope to get involved with them
to help.
